Passing
Out Smiles Congratulations
to Clarice Cheatham for being awarded the Best
of Buck's Service Award. Since becoming part
of the Lubbock Avalanche Crew two years ago, Clarice
jumped in with both feet and worked hard to become
one of the managers of Bahama Buck's.
While
not working at Bahama Buck's, Clarice spends the
other half of her time as a Senior at Texas Tech
majoring in Biology and plans on venturing into
Physical Therapy. And if that weren't impressive
enough, her love for working with the deaf lead
to her minor in American Sign Language.
Clarice
is the Bahama Buck's manager that can serve a tasty
Wavebender and help solve problems at the same time.
She put's the "Ultimate" in Bahama Buck's
Ultimate Tropical Dessert Experience. Clarice
claims she has a lot of respect for Bahama Buck's,
"I want to do the best for Buck's and I consider
it my second family." Not only is it her second
family, but it has gained her the deserving nickname
of "mom." Fellow crew member Spencer O'Brien
teases, "she always asks if we need anything
when she checks up on the shop and says to always
call if we do need anything."
Customer
service is just one of Clarice's specialties. "Clarice
is always extremely friendly," remarks Kristi Gaither
a fellow Avalanche Crew Member, "a lot of customers
seem to know her by name." In fact, about two months
ago, one of her customers brought her homemade tamales;
extra proof of great customer service!
Clarice
describes her Avalanche Crew as a close nit group.
"They call us the "Kumbaya" Shop. We hang out outside
of work and call each other if we have nonrelated
work issues." One of her craziest Bahama Buck's
moments is when she and crew member, Liz, worked
a week of double shifts by themselves during Spring
Break causing only a mild case of Bahama Buck's
delirium.
Avalanche
Crew Member, Phillip Goodigan, describes Clarice
in one word, "Unbelievable!" Per Goodigan, "She's
very humble, fast, kind and all around awesome!
She makes everyone smile and is always cheerful
no matter what mood she's in. She always passes
out smiles and is ready to lend a hand."
Spencer
adds that Clarice is an extremely fast and efficient
shaver which probably explains why she holds the
2007 Olympic World Record for Fastest Shaver. Go
Clarice! If there is one thing Spencer has learned
from her, it's "how to run a shop more efficiently
at a faster pace."
Because
Clarice exudes a fabulous attitude, is extremely
friendly and finds the positive in the negative,
Bahama Buck's Franchise Corporation is please to
recognize Clarice Cheatham as one of the Best
at Buck's. Congratulations Clarice and keep
passing out those smiles!
