The
Tide is High for Taylor Sitzman
Taylor
Sitzman stepped into the feeding frenzy at Bahama
Buck's Lewisville location when the shop opened
its doors May 22. Since then, he has taken on a
leadership role and been an integral part of the
three biggest revenue days for any shop in Bahama
Buck's history. He takes it all in stride, making
the busiest shifts look smooth and easy, so it's
no surprise that Taylor is the latest recipient
of the "Best of Buck's" service award.
"By
the second day we were open, Taylor had already
begun to establish himself as the leader of the
shop. With his sense of humor, initiative and positive
attitude, he has a natural way of making work fun
and bringing a great environment to employees and
customers - and that's what Bahama Buck's is all
about!" trainer Kristin Boyce said. "I
love to have fun," Taylor says, "even
if it's at my own expense. I'm always dancing around
and making a fool of myself."
Taylor
was the first Level One employee in the Lewisville
shop and the first employee to take on a managerial
role. "He took charge from the beginning and
made everything happen on his shifts," shop
owner Brent Daniels said. "From cleanliness
to taking care of the guests, Taylor earned his
promotion to supervisor. All I did was give him
the title. He was already doing the job."
After the first month of business, Taylor was voted
the employee with the best attitude in the shop.
This vote comes from the staff he has cleaning everything,
trash cans to the bottom of the smoothie station.
Clay Hooten, former recipient of the Best of Buck's
award and a consultant to the Lewisville shop, had
this to say about Taylor: "The kids really
look to him for guidance and leadership. Stepping
into that role so early is certainly a feat considering
the shop being open only one month."
In addition to his managerial and people skills,
Taylor is "Mr. Automatic" when it comes
to customer service. His ability to listen and learn
from guests helps him to customize products in order
to enhance their Bahama Buck's experience. "It's
amazing the amount of options guests have when ordering."
says Taylor "I just help guests navigate through
all of the choices in order to get the best possible
product for them."
Out of the shop, Taylor is an accomplished musician,
earning a full-ride scholarship to play the French
horn in the University of Arkansas band. (Too bad
he is going to be a Razorback!)
Congratulations,
Taylor, on your wave of success in Lewisville and
thank you for your commitment to making Bahama Buck's
the best!
